Yves is a passionate and engergetic soloist and chamber musician whose versatility has lead him into concertizing the United States, Asia and Europe.
His passion for percussion has allowed him to collaborate with many different ensembles among the World Percussion Group, Red Fish Blue Fish Percussion group, AKOM ensemble,United Instruments of Lucilin.
Due to his enthousiam for creating new repertoire for percussion, Yves focuses too on collaborations with composers. He has had the pleasure to perform various worldpremieres among Desperation for Solo Percussion and Dance by the British/Dutch composer Jahn Kuhr. They were awarded by the Tera de Marez Oyens award during the Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht in 2016.
Apart from this, Yves is the Co-founder of the Planet Percussion Luxembourg Vol. 1 and 2, an event featuring local musicians and artists. Together with Sven Kiefer, he has been soloist during those events held at the Mierscher Kulturhaus during the season 2018/19. 2 Worldpremieres have been performed during those 2 events: 'De grousse Jang an de klenge Pit' by the Luxembourgish composer Tim Kleren as well as 'Orange Wind fading' by the american composer Ivan Trevino.
Furthermore Yves's participation to the Heritage Project has given him the opportunity to volunteer as an educator and musician in Thailand and Malaysia. This project is a community art concept for children created by Hans Blok. The project guides children to use their cultural and environmental heritage to make a music and theatre show.
As an educator he love share his musical and rythmical knowledge with kids or adults. A landmark for his educating passion is the Cajaton workshop hold together with Sven Kiefer. Whilst, a group dynamic is created. The focus is not only hold on developping musical skills. But one also learns social skills like how to teamwork, helping each other, as well as letting its creativity run free by painting the cajaton, singing and playing on the instrument, different ways of expressing oneself.
Currently he teaches classical percussion and drumset at the Union-Grand-Duc-Adolphe music school in Luxembourg.
